About Yogesh

From the driver's seat to city hall

Your Neighbour. Your Driver. Your Voice.

Fifteen years ago, Yogesh Garg came to Canada with hope, determination, and the dream of building a better life for his family. He and his spouse have raised their children here, working hard every day to provide them with opportunities and a bright future. Yogesh’s journey has been one of perseverance and community spirit. He began his life in Canada as a car wash maintenance worker, putting in long hours to support his family. For more than the past 10 years, he has proudly served the people of Edmonton as a taxi driver — meeting thousands of residents, listening to their stories, and understanding their struggles and hopes. Through these daily connections, Yogesh has developed a deep understanding of what matters most to families, seniors, and newcomers. His work behind the wheel has given him a front-row seat to the challenges our community faces — from road safety and transit issues to affordability and the feeling of being disconnected from City Hall. Now, Yogesh is ready to take the next step: bringing your voice to the council table. His campaign is about safety, better transit and traffic management, accountability, and building a stronger, more connected community for all. Yogesh is not a career politician — he’s one of us. A hardworking Neighbour, husband, and father who believes every resident deserves to be heard and respected. With your support, Yogesh Garg will be the councilor who drives change — for you, your family, and our city.
